Sturdy biobased coating

Lisman Forklifts makes photographs of the machines on offer. Heavy forklifts are maneouvred back and forth for the best possible pictures. The floor this is happening on needs to stay ‘picture perfect’ under this relentless assault of wriggling wheels.

Our NEW biobased coatings are up for the job.

We sanded the existing concrete floor with a diamond sander an filled the expansion joints with a resin that dries within half an hour. The first layer is a biobased epoxy primer and is finished with a biobased epoxy top coat.

For the moment the floor at Lisman Forklifts is a trial. Based upon our previous tests we’re confident they’ll like it. This product will be available in The Netherlands

Superfast asphalt repair at low temperature

Eight months ago we repaired a badly damaged piece of asphalt at Deubatec’s premises in Mühlheim an der Ruhr. It’s still looking good.

A substantial piece of asphalt, several centimeters deep, was missing in their parking lot. At a point where heavy trucks make a turn. After cleaning we applied a mixture of aluminium silicate grit and fast curing binder.

With an outside temperature of 5C the parking lot was open for traffic again within just two hours.

PUROC is indestructible, even applied frozen

Repairing – let alone recoating – the floors of cold storage facilities is a challenge. Turning up the heat means disrupting the logistical flow of goods and entails major operating losses. Applying coatings in freezing temperatures results in poor quality and frequent re-repairing. PUROC is up to that challenge.

Our partner wanted to show and test the properties of PUROC coatings at the facilities of Vroegop Ruhe & Co. Vroegop Ruhe & Co operates cold storage facilities all around The Netherlands. Their clients entrust them with keeping their perishables at the right temperature, which is -33° Celsius, rain or shine. The cold storage facilities are an important part of a logistical chain. Which means heavy use by all kinds of transporting and lifting gear. Repairs of floor damage is frequently needed.

Our partner decided to try a mix of PUROC screed mixed with 50% sand for deep cracks (from heavy use ánd freezing) in the concrete floor. With an addition of 2% of catalyst the mixture was applied at -33° Celsius and left to dry and harden for a couple of hours.

After one more day our client re-entered the cold storage, well dressed in their winter clothes and mittens and carrying hammer and chisel . . .

Industrial ‘look and feel’ on a wooden base

The versatility of PUROC was proven again for the recreational area of a youth centre in Heerhugowaard, The Netherlands.

The youth centre is visited by large numbers of groups who have their regular visits. The client needed an ‘industrial look and feel’ and chose PUROC to treat the floor of the main assembly room and entrance area.

We found a part cement, part wooden floor, which we pre-treated with QF PUR mixed with thickener to fill cracks in the floor. This combination also provides a very fast adhesive base for the next layer. The floor was coated the same day with a layer of QF PUR and within two hours finished with PTC mixed with a 4% addition of antiskid polymer balls.
